Exercise

 

For me Health and Fitness is an important part of my life. It wasn't always and you can read about my health mindset below. I view my fitness as something that I would like to pass on to my little boy E. The message is simply take care of your body it's with you for life.

 

My Exercise is varied and that's the way I fell in love with it. I love mixing it up and part of that is including Elijah in my home workouts. Whether that be dancing together or doing body weight excercises.

 

I have also included some YouTube clips that I love doing with E. I follow the BeFit Channel. They have a great  range of excercise ranging from 10-15 minutes right up to an hour.


I also love combining connecting with my kids and excercise so give it a go including them!

My Exercise Journey
 

I used to eat what I wanted when I wanted and I was happy with my enjoyment of life, food and more food. Weighing 82kgs, in April 2013 I decided I wasn’t happy with my fitness and health. I wanted to get up off the floor after playing with my son without losing my breath and needing the assistance of a couch to pull me up. I wanted to change that my version of excercise was running for a bus.

 

I started doing home workouts and changing some of my eating habits and I lost 2-3kgs. I went on a holiday and gained it back… it was a greek holiday how could I resist the food!

 

I moved to the northern beaches and joined my friend at Fitness First in Mona Vale and that is when the weight came off and stayed off. Going to the gym became something fun I did with my friends and I was hooked. I started with Shockwave classes on a Tuesday night, threw in an ABT class on a Thursday and added a few pump classes just for fun. 1 year on and I am now 65kgs and have gone from a size 16 to a size 8-10. Not only that I am fit and I can do more than just pull myself off my lounge room floor, I can actually run, do push ups, and a 30 day squat challenge all without losing my breath.
